50-yr-old father commits suicide, blames it on economy

Uyo—It was a violent sight as the body of a 50-year-old man, recognized as Chief Ekanem Edet, dangled from a rope attached to the top of his room at Mbiabong Itam in Itu Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. Vanguard discovered that Ekanem Edet, previous Secretary of the Mbiabong Village Council, famously called Jolly Boy, held up until his significant other and two children went out before ending his life, supposedly leaving a suicide note in which he faulted his activity for brutal financial condition. As per a nearby family source, the perished, in the suicide note, pointed the finger at government for exacting terrible torments and hardship on Nigerians. A nearby partner of the expired, Mr. Okon Effiong, told newsmen that Ekanem Edet was found dead by his companion, who went to visit him. He included that Edet was instantly covered after some conventional transitional experiences were performed. He said: "He was an exceptionally amiable man and constantly shared his
contemplations on issues. I don't know why he ought to consider suicide as the last alternative to escape from these harsh times." Vanguard further discovered that few days to his passing, the expired whined sharply about the current monetary crunch. As per a family source, "Edet ended his life, faulting his activity for the predominant hardship." The source included that the expired, who bargains on Ogogoro, cigarettes and different stimulants, chose to end his life when it created the impression that he could no more run his little family with the pitiful profit from his exchange. A minister at the neighborhood church reviewed: "He used to whine that his trivial business was no more bringing him and his family fundamental needs, for example, nourishment, attire and charges for the kids' training. "He was continually reprimanding government for the financial approaches that don't permit him manage the cost of fundamental products, for example, gari, bread, yam, rice, beans, oil, lamp fuel and other key merchandise." According to him, the family was hesitant to bring in the police in view of the suicide note
