The competition is generally held in January and February, causing debate with European clubs who needed to discharge players amidst the season.

The 2019 occasion in Cameroon will be challenged by 24 groups, rather than 16.

The progressions were elastic stamped by the CAF official board of trustees in a meeting in the Moroccan capital Rabat.

Africa's leader donning occasion has highlighted 16 groups since 1996.

The extension of the competition could make issues for Cameroon, which will have the following finals, with the Central African country's games serve denying reports that arrangements were behind timetable.

The opposition will keep on being held at regular intervals, in Africa and just with African nations. Caf was thinking about whether to enable nations from different landmasses to contend - or even host the competition.

The declarations take after a two-day symposium sorted out by Caf president Ahmad to talk about the province of African football.
